Important Message to Friends

If you are planning on visiting Arron in hospital can you please be aware that you should try and keep it to a maximum of four or five people at his bedside at one time. This is just to ensure that Arron isn't overloaded and that the other patients are comfortable too.

Also if you could let Arron's family know when you are planning on visiting so that they can try to spread the visits throughout the weeks they would really appreciate it.

Welcome to Arron Williams Website

Arron Williams (from Benfleet, Essex, UK) is an exceptionally popular young man, a Police Officer (based at Pitsea) and a talented sportsman.

Tragically, on Saturday 15th September Arron was involved in a Rugby accident which left him with a broken neck. He is currently at Stoke Mandeville Hospital with his family and friends at his bedside. Arron has limited movement in both arms, but other than that, has no feeling below the neck.

How is Arron?

Arron’s positivity has been phenomenal. It is his spirit which has kept all his family and friends going. He is amazing. Arron has a long road ahead of him but he will certainly be travelling it with determination and enthusiasm.

The Trust Fund

The one thing that is a certain of is that Arron's rehabilitation process will be lengthy and costly. It looks as though he will spend up to a year in hospital and the wheelchair he is likely to need will cost £15,000 alone. The number of people who have offered to help Arron is overwhelming and as a result we have set up a trust fund for him. We hope to raise as much money as possible to enable Arron to have access to the best people and equipment to facilitate his recovery.
